Welcome to Bloodhound Lifeline

Welcome to Bloodhound Lifeline

What We Do

Bloodhound Lifeline started in 2008 as an idea inspired by its founder, Alex Balkin, to provide a lifeline for rescue hounds in need, whether it be due to a change of circumstances of their owners, bereavement, unable to manage a large clumsy dog or just to give a dog a good home.

Over the years the Charity has been pleased to rescue many bloodhounds and related types of hounds.

We take hounds that are in need of a new home.  We assess their needs both emotionally and medically and we rehabilitate the hound.  Once the hound is ready we work effortlessly to source the right forever home for them.

We operate in accordance with the rules set out by the Charity Commission.

We are pleased to offer advice and help to any member of the public whether or not they are associated with the Charity regarding issues such as behavioural problems, health issues including spaying and neutering, where to obtain veterinary advice, anxiety issues including general welfare as well as helping you to decide if a bloodhound is the right dog for you.

We are always available for help and advice
